Asís was born in Madrid, he began his musical studies at the age of five. He studied piano, counterpoint, and composition, and entered the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid, where he obtained a cum laude degree in harpsichord and basso continuo with Alberto Martínez Molina. In 2013, he obtained a master’s degree in harpsichord and basso continuo at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where he studied with Richard Egarr.

He enriched his training with courses and master classes given by teachers such as Miklós Szápányi, Alfredo Bernardini, Jed Wentz, Enrico Onofri, Lorenzo Ghielmi, Lars Ulrik Mortensen, Andrew King, Emma Kirkby, Maggie Cole, Patrick Ayrton, and Diego Ares.

After training as a singer in the choir of the Carlos III University of Madrid, conducted by Nuria Fernández Herranz, he became assistant conductor of the choir between 2009 and 2016. He also completed his training as a vocal ensemble conductor at UC3M in 2010.

Awarded first prize in the 2014 “Premio Joven Bach” soloist competition at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid, he has been the keyboardist for the ensemble L’Apothéose since 2016, with which he has received 12 international awards in major early music competitions in Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands, and England.

He combines his concert activity with organ studies and teaching harpsichord, chamber music, and basso continuo at the Arturo Soria Conservatory of Music, where he has been conducting the baroque orchestra since 2022.

In April 2024, he published the illustrated book Doce miniaturas para clave a cuatro manos, compositions aimed at perfecting harpsichord and chamber music skills at the professional and advanced levels of harpsichord teaching.

Vanessa was born in La Habana, she began her musical studies at an early age and in 1999 obtained her degree in Piano and Chamber Music Teaching from the National School of Music of Cuba. That same year, she joined the Cuban National Ballet as principal pianist, an institution with which she collaborated for almost a decade (1999–2008), touring internationally at venues such as Sadler’s Wells in London, the Grand Palais in Paris, the Cairo Opera House and the Tívoli in Barcelona, and performing as a soloist with the Orchestra of the Gran Teatro de La Habana in various editions of the International Ballet Festival of La Habana.

After settling in Spain, she furthered her training at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid, where in 2013 she obtained a Higher Degree cum laude in Harpsichord and Basso Continuo under the direction of Alberto Martínez Molina.

At the same time, she developed his career as a harpsichordist and organist, collaborating with groups and choirs such as VokalArs, Cristóbal de Morales and the RTVE Orchestra and Choir.

Since 2014, she has been a member of the Muzik Ensemble, with which she maintains a constant presence on the early music scene.

In 2024, she recorded the illustrated book Doce miniaturas para clave a cuatro manos, with Asís Márquez, and together they founded the Harpsichord Lab Collective project, dedicated to the creation, research and performance of early and contemporary repertoires for one or more harpsichords.
